The ceremonial room

Let yourself be dazzled by the refined decor and furnishings of the chambre d'apparat, the highlight of your visit to château de Haroué.

The chambre d'apparat was originally the bedroom of Princess Anne Marguerite de Ligniville, wife of Prince Marc de Beauvau-Craon, decorated in green damask and white satin with gold embroidery.

The 17th century Italian imperial bed was installed in 1920 when the château was restored by Princess Minnie Gregorini, Minnie de Beauvau's paternal grandmother.

Did you notice? The intertwined letters "A" and "M" stand for " Ave Maria". Ave Maria "because the sleeper, or rather the sleeping woman, placed her sleep, a state close to death, under the protection of the Virgin, Queen of Heaven... hence the crown above the initials.
